Travel - Slovenia

I recently visited Slovenia - the only country in the world which has love in it and truly the people of Slovenia shower love. I visited Ljubljana - the capital, Lake Bled, Lake Bohinj, Postojna caves, Predjama castle and beautiful Piran in Istrian peninsula.

I stayed in Ljubljana for 4 nights, was it enough? :) - never enough time but enough to cover most of Slovenia. It does depend what one is looking to do but since I was visiting Croatia also, I was outnumbered with number of days in Slovenia. Not many people stay in Ljubljana, but I recommend one full day. One of the interesting thing I did was become a detective - lol,  at Escape Room. Escape Room was so much fun and I recommend everyone should book it but apart from this I think the city is beautiful, with a small climb through the narrow lane up to the castle, of course one can take funicular or car up to the castle but I would recommend a steep walk if you are fit :p.

For the gastronomy lovers, loads of restaurants to choose from near Triple_Bridge_Tromostovje in  old town but one place for desserts you should not miss is Cacao. I am vegetarian and JAIN food was not an problem.

Lake Bled -  A beautiful place with a boat ride is a must to the Island and can't not have ice cream!! yummy it was. We also did Luge - fun sport if weather and time permits. Drove to Lake Bohinj (not a must) where lot of activities take place but more in summer months, however the drive was beautiful through the small villages and country side.

Next day Postojna caves, Predjama castle and Piran - we did all in a day as we had only one day and wanted to see it. I think words can't describe these places, one has to be there to experience it.

A funny adventure in Piran  - one of my friends phone fell in the Adriatic whilst taking jumping pics with the sunset. Guess with no spare change of clothes, my friend dived and got the phone. It was freaking cold, I wonder how she did it. Brave one!!!. but the irony is that she had to buy new phone :D. All that for more spending, bearing the cold and wearing borrowed clothes. A lovely old town, a treasure chest which most people miss.

Psst - If have one time do visit the oldest Ranch on way to Piran.
